    1. Boil potatoes until tender. Reserve 1 cup of water from potatoes. Make a white sauce with the other ingredients. Add potato water and potatoes. Heat to boiling and season to taste. A tasty addition: Crumbled bacon and 1 cup of sour cream. Add a sprinkle of cheddar cheese on top and it tastes like a baked potato.
