Heat oven to 190°C (375°F). Combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, beating on low speed just until combined. Stir in the divided milk chocolate chips (reserve some for topping if desired), white chocolate chips, and chopped macadamia nuts.
Drop rounded tablespoonsful (approximately 20-25 grams) of dough about 5 cm (2 inches) apart onto baking sheets.
Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown and the centers still look slightly soft. If desired, press the reserved milk chocolate chips onto the warm cookies immediately after removing them from the oven.
