    Ingredients

    Instructions

    1. Preheat Oven to 375°F (190°C): Good first step.
Liquid Mix: Egg, lemon juice, Monster, and honey are combined. This will act as a binder for the dry coating.
Dry Mix: Flour, sugar, lemon pepper, and salt are combined. This will create a crispy coating.
Coating: Chicken is dipped in the liquid then the dry mix. Standard breading procedure.
Pan Frying: Canola oil is heated, and chicken is fried for 4-6 minutes per side. As we discussed, this is to develop color and crispiness, not to cook it through.
Transfer to Oven Dish: Chicken is moved to an oven-safe dish.
Adding Liquid to Baking Dish: Honey is drizzled on the chicken, and then chicken broth and (presumably a little) lemon juice are poured around the chicken. This will create a bit of steam and moisture in the oven, helping to keep the chicken from drying out and potentially creating a light sauce.
Baking: The chicken is finished in the oven for 8-12 minutes.
Serving Suggestion: Enjoy with mashed potatoes or white rice.
